You are the Ruler of all mankind. Your hand controls power and might, and at your discretion men are made great and given strength.

What a wonderful time of year to reflect on the One who is in control of everything. He gives and takes away because it is His to do so. In the midst of these unsettling times I am reminded of the calm that Jesus brought to the storm that the disciples were experiencing. While they ran around in panic and fear, Jesus stood up, stretched out his hands and calmed the storm.
Are you looking to Him to calm the storm in you right now? Do you adore Him as being in control of EVERYTHING??? Remember you have a Creator and a Savior who knows your heart, your fears, your desires and your sins. Read Ps. 139 and meditate on the intimate ways that your Jesus knows you and loves you.
I encourage you to take the time to celebrate....."While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." He came down from His throne, lived among the wicked, and died so that you and I could have life to the full. Let us not forget.... He defeated death to give us that life.
What are you trying to control right now? Remember this verse from 1Chronicals my friend. Remember that God is in control and He loves you very, very much.

From pressure to peace
Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
There are days when I get so wrapped up in my "life", and the craziness that surrounds me that I tend to lose my way and I forget why I am here.
"Mommy, she hit me."
"Honey, what's for dinner?"
"Can you head up that committee"?
When I slow down for just a moment and listen, I am able to hear the quiet whispers of my Lord. "You are My prize, you are My love, your are My great design and I'm right here by your side. So grow in Me, desire Me and remember that you are treasure of the most High God." (words from a song by Andy Garcia)
Each one of us was made with a purpose and a plan. God knit each one of us into our mothers womb, and he has called you and I for such a time as this. We get to make a choice daily. Do we choose to plug into the Powersource that feeds us, fuels us and points us in the right direction moment by moment, or do we face the day on our own
determined to power through in our own strength?
Take it from me, starting my day in the Word and coming to my Lord in constant prayer is the only way that I am able to make it through the day without anyone getting hurt.
The word that I have been getting from my Lord over the last several weeks has been a topic that I have never even thought about before. If you have a little bit of time, I encourage you to watch this podcast that was recommended to me. It might change the way that you handle your husband and your marriage.

The Invisable Woman by Nicole Johnson
